Lamrim Winter Retreat – The Path to Freedom
January 21 @ 7:00 pm - January 25 @ 6:00 pm
$50
January 21 – 25
Live-streamed. Available online for registered attendees until January 31.
In our annual Lamrim Winter Retreat, we will focus on the meditations on refuge and renunciation according to their presentation in Venerable Geshe Kelsang’s latest book, The Mirror of Dharma with Additions. By relying on the Three Jewels: Buddha, Dharma and Sangha, we can develop a deep wish for permanent freedom from suffering. With this refuge and renunciation in our heart, we will destroy the cause of samsara, ignorance within our mind.
By developing an understanding and familiarity with lamrim (or “stages of the path to Enlightenment”) meditations, we will enjoy a special experience of peace and fulfillment that comes from a spiritually meaningful life. Ultimately Lamrim meditations will give rise to a complete transformation of our mind through the power of wisdom and compassion.
The retreat will begin on Friday 21 January with an evening session from 7-8:30. The retreat will continue from Saturday to Tuesday with three sessions a day. Each session will consist of a teaching, short prayers, guided meditation and time for question and answer. This retreat will focus on refuge and the meditations on renunciation from Mirror of Dharma with Additions. Everyone welcome, regardless of background or experience. Join us for our Lamrim winter retreat this January. Come for a day, a weekend or join us for the full retreat. Everyone welcome.
$50 for full retreat or $20 a day.
The retreat will be live-streamed with Zoom. The retreat will be held online due to current covid restrictions.
